    got a dozen ski poles and some Christmas lights in the mix today... gotta keep an eye on those ski poles certain ones got carbide tips, now that would be Christmas in July

    Looks like I may need another bucket. I've been throwing the tips in with the shred. How do you know if it's carbide or not?

    Only thing I remove off trees an Wreaths are the funky decorations. or lights for the Trees. Wreaths bug me as they got a bunch of goofy things attached that i know my yard won't want. But like the tree's, it's a hunk of metal under all the green fake needles!

    If you check the thread for the Carbide buyer, I think there is a link to a video he did or posted to tell Carbide from other metals.

    Been awhile since I looked tho.

    Sirscrapalot - Never gets any carbide.

    Most of the ones I get are cheapo poles with steel tips, but if you know your ski equipment then middle to high end quality ski poles will sometimes have them also trek poles for hiking, snowshoeing, or roller skiing.
