Hi NA.... I was offline for a while and didn't see your posts until today. Hate that you're hurt, you are always encouraging and inspiring. Sounds like you've been doing pretty good working around a tough problem. I hope the new injury is one you can get past quickly.

My Step-Brother has Scoliosis so I kinda know what's going on with you. I've had back trouble also and farming isn't the best job to have with that problem.

Hope you get better soon. Keep figuring out the work saving ideas. Don't call it going soft, call it going SMART.

Hey newattitude, you're definitely a winner and an interesting scrapper. PLEASE don't give up on chiropractors as they're not all alike. I've had a few that don't seem to be able to 'fix' me and then there are a couple who seem to be able to make their training work. I've been going to them since I was 12 and became a believer that first day. I logged trees for 25 years and had to get treatments constantly. Now that I'm scrapping along with farming and moving a couple thousand pounds of music equipment on weekends, I don't have anywhere near the trouble. My worst scenario was lifting a log (insert mower decks here) and turning on one leg while holding the weight. That's a definite NO NO in anyone's situation. It always slipped my lower back (lumbars) out of kilter.

I also recently had a hip out of place and didn't even know that was possible. I'm betting you did one or the other and that a chiro can fix you....even considering your disease. When my lumbars (lower back vertebrae) would go out, I couldn't walk either. I could hardly get out of a truck after scooping grain that time. Remember..............it is the twist/turn action while hanging onto heavy weights that is the culprit. I let my skidsteer do the dirty work now, but that's not everyones alternative.

I once let the lumbar problem go for 4 months over the winter thinking it was a pulled muscle. In the spring as I got active, it tightened back up and a chiro relieved it in one treatment. My advice is to not misdiagnose a big owie as a pulled muscle or an incurable situation as the misaligned disc /vertebrae will cause the muscles to react with pain until the cause is found. The alignment will cure the muscle pain also. Please at least get an opinion from a chiro and see what the problem is. We need you around here to share your 'attitude' with us.

Besides, if you adhere my advice and I happen to be right, just think what that will do to my EGO !!! LOL, I just want to help.

Yep everything we load up, then unload, to break down. Then load up again before we unload at the yard takes a toll! Keep up the good work and I am glad you are still going strong!
