I have never been a e-scrap person but I recently got 20 laptops and misc computer stuff and need some help identifying some parts maybe someone could give me a list of stuff in laptops with pics and what it's worth I looked for this but couldn't find it, if anyone knows a post or video like this please link me! Thanks for the help

You may want to send the laptops whole to eWasted. They pay by the pound for whole lappys.
The reason I say this is that I found a laptop while curb shopping one day and tried to pull it apart at home. It was a real pain in the @$$ and more trouble than it’s worth IMO. I’m going to send them off whole from now on.

Not a lot to them. You have your motherboard, heat sink/cooling fan, CD/DVD drive, screen, battery, hard drive (if your lucky), RAM, most have wireless network cards built in or a slot card. Power supply is external. You can Google these items separately if you need help identifying. If they are newer and not in too bad a shape its easier to throw them on eBay starting price of $5 or 10 plus shipping and sell whole; less work, more money!

I took apart about half a dozen of them recently and it turned out I would have done better to sell them whole...
I recommend that if you can store them for a while do the research here and on ebay. You may find that with some effort and self education you will increase your profit greatly. If all you desire is a quick turn over then selling whole can make the most sense. Mike.

As noted, shipping whole is definitely an option if you don't want to mess with them. You will find a lot of advice on here that will tell you that everyone's situation is different and only you can decide if it's worth it or not. If the time spent breaking them down could be better spent on a higher profit endeavor, then you should probably just ship whole (or ebay as mentioned). I agree with Matty that its a PITA ...too many screws...and hidden screws...and more screws, but - in my case, as of yet I'm not exactly overwhelmed with them, so after I collect a few and don't have other stuff to do, I grab a beer, turn on the TV and start breaking them apart. It goes pretty quick once you get a rhythm. I FAR prefer PC towers, though - you can crack those and have them completely stripped in no time.Originally Posted by DevinThaScrapper
Just tear down what you have to get a feel for it, read the threads for info on parts & pricing, and go from there. I'm still new to this, but having fun & learning alot.
