    old imacs

    i just bought 3imac g5 computers..3 for 10$..they cosy 2,000$ new...talk about price depreciation...heavy as hell for a computer tower...almost 40lbs...the motherboard was less than impressive...but the aluminum computer case is heavy too..it hs a big aluminum heatsink with a copper tube....now i have somthing else to mix in with my air conditioner rads

    Always check resale value on mac stuff. Those G5's still bring around 100.00 each if they work.

    i'm keeping one...couldn't help myself dissecting the other 2...the motherboard is really hard to get out...it was a powerful machine and looked good...the function and the look is what makes apple still apple

    Many computers have aluminum/copper heat sinks. If they are heavy and look silver on the bottom take a file or grinder and scrape some of the finish off if it looks like copper then it is copper. Apple computers are the hardest ones to brake down. I curse Steve Jobs every time I have to do one.
