Wow. I havent' seen wire like that before. 'way different than the spiral armor I'm used to.
It looks like you have a hard plastic covering over some kind of steel wire armor? You said it just fell apart when you slit the plastic cover? Looks like it might be well worth your time to strip it to bare copper, unless you can come to a deal with a scrap outfit once you know the recovery.

Like you said you got 3 ton . So for a good amount of time you can pick any day and make a good buck . Your very lucky to have it .

Hi , Ive done my wieghts I started with 2.6kg the first strip left
me with 1.3kg the final strip left me with 1.2 kg .roughly 47% good stuff.lm really happy with that.This certainly is going to take some time, but will surely be worth the effort. Just to let you know the 2 inche wire had 4 heavey wires and 1 bare thin earth wire.Just goes to prove one man rubbish can be anouther mans riches.Thanks every one for your help and assistance with this.
