Did not weigh much, (4300 lbs) but it took a very big crane to get it off the roof

It is a water cooler, water comes out from the plant passes through, gets cooled then back to the plant. sad part was it was to high for the trailer, (over height restrictions) so had to unload it at a yard close by, not really into shred, did not get much for it. Thought we could unbolt it and split it in two, but was to rotted out. Crane time was limited to.

I call them water towers, they are big over sized and have nothing of value in them, they usually have plastic coil like pieces in them makes it impossible to use a torch on them. The last two I did were side by side one another, charged the customer $1,500.00 for the removal. He was happy to pay me. Scrap out tin tin a little over a ton in each. Customer payed for crane. Stay away from these if you can lots of labor little money.
Crane was supplied by customer, it was there to lift the new one into place, they do have a pretty beefy electric motor in them, but when dealing with cranes you have to have everything taken apart before the crane arrives. I find when servicing large customers you should deal with anything they throw your way, (within reason). One thing leads to another and bigger paydays come down the road or have in the past.
