First Truck + Free Riding Mower Pickup!

Today, I finally finished the paper work for my 1st truck. This time it's mine and its payed off. It's a 2007 Dodge Dakota 4 door 4x4 6 speed manual. It only has 73,xxx miles on it so I expect ill run this truck 200,000 + if it lasts! Small rust spot on one quarter panel, but it can be fixed. It came with loading ramps from HFT, and so far its working great for my heavy carts and riding mowers!

Right after my paper work was completed, i ventured over to the other side of town to pick up a free riding mower. Thanks to my ad on craigslist, i picked up other scrap on my way back and picked up an additional 2 weed wackers. The riding mower engine is shot, but the frame and deck are in great shape making me think it might possibly be worth more than scrap value... what do you think? Throw another motor in that rascal and sell it for a cool grand. It looks almost new.

Can't be too old, it has a built in cupholder.

Agreed - looks great. I wonder what the engine problem is, possibly a simple fix the owner didn't want to find out?

If you can't get that riding lawnmower running, around here the seats and steering wheels sell well, then sell the rest on craigslist for parts. Should make way better than scrap off it either way...

That's a Briggs engine...will sell well for parts even if it's shot

Nice truck! The mower looks to be is very good shape. I wish you lived close to me. I have 2 working motors and would buy it in a minute.

I'd sit on that mower for a bit, you might just score another with a good motor or maybe find one cheap on craigslist, get it fixed and flip it like Mechanic suggested. Looks like it's in really good shape.

Ummm ... nice lookin' stuff.

I wonder if it might be a simple fix with the rider. Maybe stale fuel, water in the bowl, or a cracked fuel line ?

Is the motor seized ?

ETA: Just watched the video. Maybe a bad shaft seal if it's dripping oil ? Is there play in the crankshaft or is it still tight ?

Haven't had time to take a look, but when i do, ill post a vid on my yt channel. If worse comes to worse, ill just replace the engine with a cheap one and sell it!
