I have read around and see people who smelt different metals but I got no specifics basically I want to know what equipment I would need to smelt lead into ingots and than who I could sell those to? If anyone knows please respond! Thanks

Get you a cast iron pot and an electric burner plug it in out side and wait for it to melt. I would sell it on the eBay before a scrap yard unless you have a lot and no time. you could get some sinker molds and go that rout too.

You could convert it and save it as a precious metal... Copper jacketed lead.

Any certain specs I would need on the burner to make it able to melt lead?

As far as all the worry abut lead is to not let it get hot enough to boil off. you can use a torch too, but I think that would be harder.

It is also a great place to sell the ingots you create. The folks there will pay you $1 a pound for lead all day long. I am sitting on over 500 pounds of wheel weights that I will smelt down and sell there. No worries from me about you being my competition.They go through an awful lot of the stuff.

like mentioned above i use a cast iron pot, if im making ingots i use one of those old cast iron corn ear shaped pans...i do spray it with pam or wd40 before i pour...im not sure if that is needed but i read it somewhere and they fall out great so i just continue to do it....
i melt mine with a small fire in the back yard....good hot coals is all it takes once you get it melting.....
casting lead is very dangerous....be careful....remember liquid lead + water = explosion = emergency room
i used to sale all my lead on ebay, but with everyone reloading more than ever now days, i sell it at fleamarkets....

oh by the way i have every kind of man made sinker mold you could imagine.....i never use any of them...i only use spoons for sinker molds...once im done i take a small nail and punch a hole in them...works great

If your lucky enough to have an old time gun shop in your area they my be able to hook you up with local reloaders who cast their own bullets. Also they may have info on an electric lead pot.

Just make sure to be well ventilated. I hold on to my lead. I have a bunch to melt and cast. Lead is one of those items that is good to have when the stuff hits the fan, and it does not take up much space to store 50 pounds of the stuff.
Shipping negates the effect of selling it on e-bay. Find some local buyers for it. Advertise on Craig's list to sell it. You can probably sell it without even having to melt it and cast it.

Hmm Yes my fav hobbie the quest for lead . Yeah Lead is a keeper - Great weight to size
Due to it's low melt temp also Zinc is one for the future , But it wont be for some time with Zinc compared to Lead
that seems bullish at this time
No need to repeat all the important above members fact's , BUT wadarbr549 's advice particular to WATER is key
There is a definite smell to lead vapors , It's sneaky cause it will fool you . It is WAY More unhealthy
compared to the smell that seems tolerable . I pick a day with a definite one direction wind.
Simply stated you can go outdoor fire pit - cast iron pot & molds - thats what I do . Also you can make your own oven with brick & air supply, using hard woods to burn . Naturally a spot for cast iron pot up top ,
does that get Hottttt ? OH Yes like a torch . Ya gotta love it !!
But sure legitimate electric ovens are probably the easiest way , but for me i like the whole red hot Cole thing
