    Just a small safe.....

I picked up a safe for my office as I get closer to opening back up and having money back in my office but I wanted something with.....alittle more mass than I had before so someone cant walk away with it....I think this safe does the trick

The safe is about 1100 pounds with a door that is just over an inch thick.....took a small army to get it into my office.

Nice safe. Be sure to put it somewhere that's not in a straight line to a door or window. Someone smashed a truck into the grocery store here and tied a chain to the safe. They took off on the truck dragging the safe down the road.

Oh, and I'd probably still bolt it down.

Good luck in business, I hope you end up needing a bigger safe.

we have a local pharmacy with an upstairs Apartment in it for the owner, he kept his safe there....once when i was a teenager some men broke into his upstairs apartment and rolled the safe off the upstairs deck...it fell to the ground and landed in there truck......it was one of those dumb crook type stories.....they found the truck the next day with a flat tire and a drive shaft that was cut into......it seems the bed was really rusty and one of the safes corners punched through and rested on the drive shaft,,,it cut it into.....both men were arrested by day light the next day

this has been at least 15 years ago and at least a few times a year i hear that story told

Excellent advice. It's also how they steal ATMs. A bit of rope, an atm, a truck = Lots of damage an loss of money.

I also have a safe an like JM above, it's bolted to the floor an wall. I should put it in the shop, but screw it, someone is going to steal it their going to have to work really hard for it.

The safe is protected by 2 facemunchers, a couple things that go click click boom boom. An a few other surprises.

Thanks an I will be bolting it down, my office is small so if they really wanted to drive into it they could but its right on the street and there is someone who lives there and there are homes near by...so it would be seen/heard and they still have to lift the heavy $&*# in to the truck. Even tho we had a flat bed tow truck come out it still took 4 men to get it into my truck bed!

Anyway I would love to show the inside of the safe but I don't want people to know how its built inside but it has a drop slot on the top (top right you can see it) you pull it out and put money or what ever and when you close it, it drops it into a locked box on the inside of the save. So even if someone had the pass to it..they still need keys and...there not normal keys either.

I got it for a steal tho at $410 (counting the tow truck costs)

I saw one the other day. I didn't want to take it on. Sometimes appliances are tough enough. Dunno if the link is gonna work but... Just the part where they steal the ATM. Thanks Pnutfarmer.
