FLimits, I will sort through the pile when I get them tomorrow, however I doubt there will be any that are that old. They look to be mostly last generation HP CRT monitors. Let the record show the CRTs and I reside around Pinehurst North Carolina, about 60 miles southwest of Raleigh.

I want to make sure I got it right. You got nearly 400 CRTs for less than a $10 bid?? Just think what they cost the school board (and you taxpayers) originally. Some serious depreciation! Then again, I work for the feds who will pay "on contract" twice as much for a desktop pc than they could go down to Best Buy and get one off of the shelf. Someone's making money somewhere!!

Thanks, SteelMill, and greetings from your new neighbor in the great state of North Carolina. I'm finishing my move from NYC to Charlotte this week. Which reminds me...I'd better stop goofing off and get back to work. Congrats on your deal. Let me know what kinds of e-waste, etc., you're interested in, and I'll keep an eye out for good finds in the area for you!

FROM a local Gov't institution I just bought an HP workstation.......Granted 6 or 7 years old.......Paid $27.........Original MSRP was $8995..........I did sell it for a nice profit.......LOL..........If you have some basic knowledge of computers it is ok to pay more than scrap sometimes..........I am no computer wiz but after taking 1000's apart it is easier to learn how to put them back together........Deals are out there FOLKS!!!

For businesses, the standard depreciation schedule for computer equipment is 5 years.

I picked up 200 monitors (HP 7500's and 7540's) today in a cattle trailer and my pickup bed. A tire blew out in the last 3 miles of the trip, I decided to drag it like I stole it and all turned out well. So to the tire shop I go tomorrow, I'll just put a used one on there. I can get one and have it mounted for $22 total. Anywho, What kind of member would I be if I didn't post pictures?

Just think if you got stuck in traffic, you'd piss a ton of people off. All those tv's an not being able to watch one an find out why there was traffic.. Ha!!

    Nice haul.

I forgot to mention I have another 200 monitors to pick up. I'll be taking the International with the liftgate to that deal because I about wore my back out throwing these in the cattle trailer.
