    Free monitors at garage sale.

Garage sales are always fun to search for e-waste. I was back home visiting parents and stopped in at a garage sale in town. They had all kinds of junk and crap for sale, but there was a spot in the way back that had a huge sign that said "FREE". There was scrap metal, wire and a 19" CRT monitor. I got the the attention of the homeowners and asked if there was a tower available with the monitor. They stood there confused for a second and then took me to the garage and started pulling out a big box of yellow colored plastic. Oh yeah! Ended up with a tower, mouse, keyboard, speakers, scanner and big printer cables. I offered to pay for the tower and everyone started laughing. The guy said I should pay you. No luck though.

Don't be shy and always ask!
