    Derek's finds.

Going to start updating on abnormal things I get. Or well at least new to me!
Found these goodies today and wanted to express how grateful I am that I even know about e-scrap thanks to this forum. The cpu looking thing came out of a projector. It is ceramic and almost solid plated on the back. The dollar is for size I didn't find that today sadly haha.
Would I benefit pulling the EPROMs ? I think that's right.. And tantalum capacitors from my boards and sell seperate? Or is it kinda pointless. Thanks just trying to see.

Cool. I've gotten a few projectors from a local school over the last few weeks and found a few good looking boards, but none of the "cpu" looking things you have there. Thanks for posting pix.

The cpu thing is the dlp chip. Hopefully you checked to see if the projector was working or not. Working dlp chips can fetch a pretty penny depending on your model. Along with boards. If its not working like the bulb is good and still doesnt work. Check on the buyers page some buy the dlp chips or ebay it.
