    Anyone scrapped a Kiln Furnace?

I recently picked up a kiln furnace. I've had 2 people tell me the metal inside is worth more money. Since it is magnetic, my yard will only pay sheet price for it. Can any of you help me out?

    Thanks.

the only metal inside a kiln furnace should be the coiled wire for heating elements. this is an nickel alloy.

first they may have a better resale value.

    What do they look like?
    how is the temp controlled

Brick inside should be removed taking most of the weight out of it.

Wow, When I find a washer that has the brick to keep it balanced I just leave it in. I know not cool, but that is how it came from the factory... Not like I put bricks in the washer tub!!!

picture would be nice. may have resale value, coils are Canthal NIckel chrome brick may sell on e pay or to some one here. cover is usually stainless. Kiln setter, switches and controler are all resale items. just my .02 Mcw (former owner and designer Fire King and Fire Master Kiln manufacturers.

P.S. transportation can destroy it if care is not taken.
