on the 25, send good vibs...

On the 25th I have to go for "surgery" on my back/spine but again its not the best word either I don't think but in short....they have to stick needles into my spine and around some of the nerves under a live xray scanning type thing (I am a math/computer guy...screw knowing med type things). I'm worried of a mistake although they say that is very rare, or it wont work/fail.

Anyway on a side note...I have been tied up with my health but both of my companies are still moving forward and would like to say anyone in the Texas/DFW I am thinking of doing a reopening/opening of my old an new company and doing a bbq or something. So if anyone would like to come let me know so I have an idea. I think it would be fun!

All I can say tho is thank ya'll for everything that has been said to me over the last few months since I told everything that happened. Anyway I need to get my day moving if I want to get anything done before the 25th gets here lol.
My company name was Easy Recycle but has since been closed

I truely hope it helps , they shld give you a anesthesia . I have had 2 injections neither took for me , I hope you have better results .
Do you know if it's cortisone shots or are they frying your nerve ends ? The latter of the 2 should work best temporarily . Good luck and I hope it fixes you .

From what I am understanding its going to be a mix of both, he wants to inject the cortisone shot but have to do so carefully as I can have a reaction to it and also deading the nerves some to try to have the back "relax" and see if it works or not an if it does then we have a treatment plan. They are going to use anesthesia as he is doing the full lumbar, when it comes to needles....I HATE THEM!!! they could be made of GOLD but I would still hate them!

Do you know why they did not take with you? How did you feel after the shot? What I'm worried about other than hitting a nerve is what they are calling a wet tap...times that by the amount of times I'm being injected.....sounds like getting teeth pulled with out a pain shot would feel better.

Easy, I did the shot in my back, doc guided the needle with x-rays. The procedure wasn't painful,I already had that (pain). I spent the next 15 months in a pool. Spent roughly 1.5 hours walking, hanging an whirl pooling.(in the pool) Every nite for easily 15 months. I TRUELY believe that was the trick for me. Couldn't get much guidance from the doctor. Just wanted to do something.
Good luck fill free to pm me.

They didn't take with me due to my problem being in the sciatic nerve sp? Multiple car accidents, stone masonry, bar backing and sports have taken a major toll on me .The freaky thing is when they inject the needle they go in ,
Then go way in . Just relax and remember this procedure is routine for them. After I was wiped out came home and crashed for about five hours . You will know within two weeks if they helped or not . The few days after I was sore and took it very light . From what I have been told they can give you up to 3 injections a year . During the process I was freaked because you think how much farther can that thing go before it comes out the other side .

Have faith , I hope it fixes you . You have a entire forum rooting for you , lighting candles saying prayers .

Sorry to hear that they did not take! I hope it does with me and it lets my back start on the road of repair (don't want it being something I have to repeat for well idk) but I just want to get back to as normal as I can.

Thank you an yea, its been a long hard one but maybe I will get a good tan? But thanks!

The risks/hazards they say that can happen..
    bleeding
    infection
brain damage (how? my brain is up top not down low but then idk)
    death
    allergic reactions
    nerve injury
    hypotension 1
    increased pain
    paralysis (possibly permanent)
    meningitis (chemical/infectious)
    pneumothorax
    nerve irritation
loss of bowel/bladder control (possibly permanent)
headache (possibly requiring hospitalization...sounds like a killer headache)
emergency surgical evacuation of infection or bleeding of spine
    respiratory problems

Now...I'm asking my self why I just read the risk sheet....those are not common but...I'm going to eat bbq ribs and some good food tonight

At about 5:40 I got out of surgery/recovery. Everything went to plan but wont know if it will take until a few days. I got some food in and my meds and iced down my back..Just hoping to get some good sleep and just relax for a while and see if this will take or not take.

    Anyway thanks ya'll!

Don't expect to hear a lot from you for a few days now. Easy. Glad you weathered the procedure itself well. Rest up now and check in on down the road. Did you ask the surgeon about scrapping any of his old medical tools?
