i have a deal with my local court house,,,,i get all there old e waste now.....they are not supposed to give me any hard drives or ram.....due to laziness of there employees i get both all the time.....i am not allowed to re sell any parts or pieces from any of there equipment anyhow.....but when i scrap hard drives thAT came from there i always destroy them completely...i also have to render any boards useless also.....

now if i go to an auction thats a different story, i will sell any and all parts as is...i dont think they should sell the stuff at public auctions if there is important info on there

Wow, that guys is an ***. If I got paid $300 dollars to take two servers, I would destroy the data for free rather than using it to blackmail said company 8 years down the line.
