They may not "care" now, but they will when the EPA shows up
You specifically mentioned Wietsmans. I know for a fact that when I was there in June, the bottom of the slip still had a statement about recovery.Quote:

They actually did at one yard I go to.........For several years they didn't care if Freon was removed or not.......Went last week and they took my fridge but said from now on it had to be evacuated........They were inspected by someone (NOT SURE IF IT WAS EPA)
well I guess everything I usually bring to scrap yards is broken down anyway so they usually don't say anything.maybe they just let me go that one day cause I had so much stuff.
I have yet to go to Kelman's for anything but I may make a trip soon...how are their prices?
I like kelmans.their prices are pretty good.kelmans prices are right around the same as weitsman and they aren't too picky.for example there is a big yard down the street from Kelman called freedman and they don't take any chain link fence.
