    Aluminum siding let down.

Had my house resided this past weekend. I negotiated to do clean up and take the scrap. Thought I was going to score big with the aluminum siding. Much to my disappointment my scrap yard was only paying
.55 a pound for Alum siding... Came away with $255. Had about 460lbs.

What is Aluminum siding going for around your parts?

At least you can use that cash to offset the cost of new siding. From AZ where we don't do much alum siding, I thought that lasts forever, did you replace it for a new color or was it worn out?

I would get about .60, but list price is about .55

I think I heard it is going down, but i'm not sure. I'm going to visit the manager tomorrow to check on prices and sorting on a few things. I'll try to remember to post on here afterwards.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

I wanted $1.50 a pound and to be welcomed at the scrap yard with balloons and music! I wanted the undocumented aliens working there to shout "Aye Poppie!" and to unload the scrap for me and tell me how great
a job I did in Spanglish....

I guess I'll take my .55 a pound and go on my way. My wife took the money anyway so who cares.
