Like I said...use it for the information if you don't sell there....WHERE ELSE CAN YOU GET THAT KIND OF GLOBAL PRICING INFO FOR FREE?? Here's a hint....nowhere. Not selling there is fine, but not using their "pricing guide" by looking at recent solds...that is foolish.

well it got drilled into my head to get a "price" with ebay. that's good info...i'm not a real logical person...I just kind of look at things and get a feeling that they are worth something, but it's hard for me to do the research part sometimes...like I found these earlier this summer dumpster diving...I thought they looked nice and had good frames...but they sat in the barn for months until my mom actually noticed them and took the time to research them...theres a third one and they are on craigslist for 65 bucks because they are worth money...

also, found this bike in a dumpster...I thought it was nice because both tires had air...it sat around for weeks until my mom found out it was top of the line 1000 dollars brand new...she ended up getting it dirt cheap off me because she got my car out of the impound last time I got locked up. I can source stuff like you wouldn't believe, but I have trouble doing the finer, subtler aspects of this stuff.

and ACTUALLY....NO...vinyl collectors are FAR FAR different form "cassette" collectors....not even in the SAME ballpark....vinyl will ALWAYS carry a premium...and NO starting there for pricing is not a good idea.

Even if you don't sell to me you will know your items value. The problem I have found with ebay is that these games for the most part were mass produced . I am forced to resell now that I am spending thousands on games every week . The secret in a nut shell is find a completed listing subtract shipping and ebay paypal fees and that's the value of your item .

I prefer to sell military related and antiques on their , the profit helps me complete my game collection . If your item is not worth at least $20 their is no point in listing it IMHO . Not sure if you saw the trivet I got at auction for $7 sold for $40 . Thing is I had the only one listed at that time . Compare that to items that have pages of listings . Those items are not selling and in most instances it will be relisted 5x at a additional cost of $2 . Meanwhile anyone who wants to sell the same item lists it at .99no reserve and those are the items getting bids not the reserves not the buy it nows . One mans opinion hope it helps .

When I check something out on ebay, I look at the # of completed listings and then the # of sold. If there's a pretty high ratio of sold to completed, you have a good item (depending on the price). If only a few sold, then your chances are low and maybe a guy should pass on them. I often wonder how people make any money on some of things they've sold when either they're doing "free shipping" or postage is too low to cover the cost (I ship from the north-central part of the U.S. so my postage costs to most of the more populated parts of the country are generally the same--depending on weight--unless I can use flat rate boxes). Either some of these people like to lose money, are doing it on purpose for some sort of business loss tax write off, or ebay and them have something going on behind the scenes.

I have a love-hate relationship with ebay. Have checked out some others, just haven't found one that works as well for me. Anyway other good experiences with others, let me know!
