Not sure what you do with your batteries, but some of the batteries on power tools are lithium ion and worth saving and selling.

I have not found a good local buyer or a buyer worth shipping to from Texas. Maybe you can find one near you? Best local buyer is two cents per pound and I just don't get many of them. Best Buy has a rechargeable battery recycling kiosk, so they usually get dropped off there for proper disposal when I remember...
Yeah If I can't really get much for them I'll just drop them off with hazardous waste or something

You may be able to find a company near you that rebuilds the batteries. Some broken cordless drills sell for parts/repair.
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

My yard rejected my drill batteries, but yes electric motor. I wouldn't waste my time on it other than putting it on the craigslist for parts.

If your yard won't take them in electric motors (mine won't) then try them in dirty aluminum. That's where my local yard buys them, at only 3 cents less than electric motors. I think that's a little odd since most of them don't have any aluminum in them. I guess they got used to buying aluminum corded drills and just put these in that category.
Alright its hardly much of a difference in price here either, and for a few drills, I'd only make a little extra in motors

These would be something that goes in my "nothing to do today" box. Some days I just don't have any pickups or clean outs or anything else to tear down so I work on things like these just to add some value to my other gaylords. This way I'm not "stepping over a dollar to pick up a penny" as they say.

If the outside is plastic take it apart and put the motor in your electric motor bucket. If the oustide is cast, take it apart and put the pieces in the appropriate buckets.

Same here, stuff like this goes into my ''to do later'' bin. When that is full I break all that stuff down.

My yard used to take all power tools and even blenders as dirty aluminum, but recently stopped accepting them because they said the company they sell to rejected them. Theyll still take them if the outiside is aluminum. Now I just break the plastic and pull the motor.
