    newspapers

hey! I deliver papers as well! Do you do home delivery or single copy? Sounds like you do home delivery. I do single copy so when I get stuff its big refers, commercial racking etc. From grocery stores and convenience stores etc.
I only deliver 3 nights a week and fill in as needed within our "group" of drivers

Welcome knives! And, do you find yourself getting the papers delivered late because you are picking up scrap?!

    welcome from Durban, South Africa.

your posts bring back memories of the time when i was in the US
i worked at a gas station in Newark, NJ. in 2001

it was the Gulf gas station 1434 Mcarter Highway, Newark.
i even got robbed once- two guys with 9mm pistols
    both wearing masks

the police came and dusted for fingerprints etc
    nobody was hurt- fortunately

there was this one regular customer who also delivered papers
he use to keep an extra copy for me

anyways- no time to wax nostalgic.

    welcome-again.

Unfortunately Newark hasn't changed... How in the world did you end up in South Africa!

Hey Knives.... Whats your best find scrap wise on the paper route so far?

msmoorad- Next time you come to the US, you should try the Midwest. If you get lost in rural areas out East, you tend to be lost in a forest. There are forests in some places of the Midwest, especially up off the the Great Lakes, but for a lot of Midwest, you get lost out in the rural areas, you're either in crop fields or pastures (grasslands depending on how far west you want to stretch the Midwest). I think a lot of people from further east can't imagine it when I say "we don't have any forests around here" (we have patches of trees but few that would qualify as a real forest).

Great way to blend careers. They kind of intertwine. So, what part of FL are you in?

Hi Knives. My wife delivers papers every morning too. That's where we got most of our scrap from too. We have some days where we make 2 or 3 trips then others we don't find anything. Best scores usually come from the apartment complex dumpsters right around the 1st of the month. Happy Hunting
