Its like cable tv. I don't have to watch a 100 channels if I don't want to. If something's mindless or pssing me off, I move on.
The trapping forum I'm on is much smaller than this but there are a lot of basic questions, especially before the seasons start. Its not my interest in explaining sets etc. so I don't engage in those threads. If others do, great. If no one answers than that person may move on. Whatever.
There's a much larger trapping forum called TrapperMan. I don't go on there much because of a couple of reasons, 1) there are a lot of threads and things move fast so if I tried to follow them all, that's about all I'd be doing, 2) There's also a lot of guys on TrapperMan who think if a guy isn't catching 300 coon a year (or whatever critter they're after) they shouldn't be called a trapper and constantly treat people like sht. If that's your gig (whoever thinks this fits their attitude), good for you. I'll try avoid you and you can do the same for me. Everybody gets along better.
Personally, I come on here to follow some of the adventure and see how other people live their lives. If I pss you off, ignore me and I'll do the same. There's pushing 320 million people in the USA--that's third in line behind China and India. There are a lot of hopeless cases out there and always will be. Why try fixing what can't be fixed??
