you can sell them whole. not sure if you would make more pulling the pins, or how much times it involves

When I sold mine to Ewasted I had less then 2# and it wasn't worth shipping separately. Much easier to just toss it in a large mixed shipment that was already heading out...

The price I was paid was for complete boards, no pulling. You can get some nice prices for gold plated pins on Ebay though...

Clarification: Pin Boards, or Backplanes are good sized circuit boards that originally had other boards, or cards plugged into them. They typically mount in a decent sized metal chassis. I have a lot of them in my shop awaiting their demise. The backplanes fetch a good price. 1956 said there were no backplanes on his lot of equipment..

Actually the pin board I was referring to is the wire wrap style board that would pre-date modern backplane expansion boards which are plug-in card style. It is literally just loads of gold pins on a board that tiny wires were wrapped around...
