    Maybe it'll pan out, possibly big score.

    Up till now I've been getting some misc. scrap a little at a time. Today I get a call from one my old customers (few years back) telling me that he has two trailer loads of scrap for me. We're going up tomorrow with 2 trucks to pick it all up. Might have to make a second load with the big truck. From what he explained there is 2 full sized refrig. a floor freezer, 4-5 small apartment refrig.
    other misc. metal and 2 pallet loads of computer equipment and business phones, and other electronics.

    Don't know if I'll have time to take pictures but we'll see what happens. Last big one (for me) was that buyout of the computer store basement. And that was 2 truckloads of computer gear. Couple of years back. We must have done a good job for this to be a repeat customer. Even if your not a business, act like one. Be polite when talking to them on the phone, if you tell them you'll call back, then do it. And don't make a mess. I'll update this when I get it all home.
    PS; And don't forget to have plenty of business cards to hand out every where you go.

    It's always great to hear of good things happening to good people ! I hope it leads the three more . Positive word of mouth is the best advertising you can get ! Way to keep it professional on the phone too . I can almost draw a sketch of a complete stranger after a phone conversation ,

    Here is an update of the haul, 4 truckloads later. There will be a few more pic's later. We ended up with 4 full size fridge's, 2 apartment fridge's, 2 trash compactors, 1 floor freezer,1 gas heater, 1 commercial cooler. Then there is 12 computers, 6 printers/copiers, 2 electric typewriters, 3 monitors, and a few boxes of misc. wire, mice, 6 keyboards, and some phones. Managed to pull out two IBM clicky keyboards.

    Just a few of the appliances;

    Here's a load of escrap; (computers, monitors, copiers, etc.)

    Got up one morning to find this setting outside the door, looks to be a 39", power supply bad I suspect.

    Yea, it was one of the "round shoulder" ones, definitely had good steel in it, but no freon.

    Well done Mech, and thanks for the pics . Those two clicky keyboards should fetch you around $100 for both if they work. Congrats again my friend.

    If that fridge was "Avocado Green" It would be what I had in my old college dorm, kept all my liquid meals nice and cold. Hope you do good with all of that Mike, good luck.

    Can someone point me in the right direction on moving these, I knew they had a little value but not that much.

    Mike if I remember correctly it is the IBM Model M that can bring some nice $$$. I think FLimits had a post about them. If its not a Model M it will still bring good money even if the cords are cut.

    I know that the old Keyboards can be rewired to use a ps2 or usb connection. As a matter of fact FLimits was/is working on some that I gave her to work on.
