its summer here in South Africa
and in Durban, the humidity is worse than Florida
anyways, im standing outside the non ferrous section, in line with copper, brass, cast alum, stainless -all the non ferrous
i was helping a friend strip some aircons & other stuff for the last two days
& we made a deal that we will split whatever we get equally
theres this man in his late 50's who has been doing scrap for over 10 yrs
hes a bit of a loudmouth & is quite agressive-has a nasty temper
(he is also a muslim like me- he comes to the same mosque as me- we live about 500m away)
he comes to the weighbridge scale- he weighs his steel & shred
has his assistant get off with bags of non ferrous
and tells the guy at the scale of the non ferrous section to weigh his stuff
mind you
he came in last & theres about 8 people in line before him
my friend was standing in line next to me
this old man barges into the non ferrous section & sits next to the girl who is operating the computer
-another guy operates the scales
knowing his character & temper
i tell him his in a polite tone "were all in line here"
and then he blows up:
"what the Fu** must i do?"
"good for you if youre in line"
"dont mind my FU***ng business"
i told him that he came in last & he is supposed to go to the back of the line
he is like
"FU** You!"
then things got ugly
he threatened to call his sons to beat me up
said i will leave in body bag....
i told him that if he is a man- then its between me & him
and he should come out & try whatever he wants to do
or thinks he can do
long story short- i made sure he weighed his stuff after me
if others dont want to open their mouths- that their problem but he cant do that to me
not after im standing in the sun waiting my turn
now i have to deal with repercussions among the muslim people of the area who come to the mosque
already he told people in the area today that he has an "agreement" where he does not have to wait in line
so i should not worry about him & what he does
the guy who told me this is this old mans neighbour & relative
"yes, u know, u should understand that this guy also has other things to do besides scrap. he cant stand in line and wait for so long"
??!!!
they can go f**k themselves
