If you bag nothing but an old water heater at least you made some cash! It seems like some of your family has come along with the idea of scrapping! Something to be Thankful for!

To add on to what Hobo said..

Be sure to thank them when they help you out like this. An be really nice...save a couple bucks an take your grandparents out to dinner or something. They seem to help you quite a bit, so saying thank you an buying them a lunch or dinner(pizza, etc) is another way to show your appreciation for all they do for you.

You probably already do, but figured it should be said. A little appreciation goes a long way.

Sirscrapalot - Make it a habit to tell people thank you. To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Make sure to be nice to them- you never know what else they have.

I don't know what a water heater brings these days, but for the price, you can't complain!

I'd take the water heater over a tv any day. Just pull the brass fittings off before you take it in.

They weigh a lot and taking it right in is smart if you have Some more stuff to make the drive worth it. They have a lot of rust in them and I have dropped my fair share off the truck and made mess's. But it takes no more than 5 minutes to pull the fittings, good luck
