You are now seeing what I see. The prices I wrote- were the sellers "bottom dollar"
There was no $ to be made.. So I passed.
Simple as that at $160/ton to $180/ton at the time of them offering them to me.

I dont have the space to hold em, and iv only got enough cash flow to hold maybe two or three cars long term, besides I dont really like over paying and hoping the market jumps up. I gamble sometimes but have been burned so im cautious now. Holding two currently, only cause one im sellin parts and one im selling whole. If i was at 210/ton id have spent 3-325 on the caravan. Blazer maybe 350-375, 400 with aluminum rims.

Shred being down really sucks, everyone says "just lower your prices, leave your magins the same" well that dont always work with the general public when it comes to cars. They dont understand or care. Everyone wasnts as much as they can get and thinks their stuffs worth more than it is. I know im preachin here, we've all heard and said the same thing lol
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

$225 US = $257 Cdn - a little more than double what they're paying for shred here in Ottawa.

The prices I am getting is; alum is holding steady while copper and steel, motors, etc. have dropped off.

Nothings changed here. Other than shred dropping (while cast and heavy melt went up...?) and aluminum at one yard (one yard only..?) Jumping up into the 0.90/lb range.

Copper, brass, lead, etc hasnt changed.

Depends on what type it is, but 0.70-0.80 for extrusion.

Everyone would be correct in that statement. I hear what your saying tho, you have to be competitive so you can get the cars but can't afford to overpay. But always remember why your buying the cars, to make $$$. So if it doesn't make dollars it don't make sense. I've let many cars go over 25-50$, because if I can't buy right, I don't buy.
People will come off their high horse on prices, I've got 7 cars bought this year that run or get running cheap for 300$ and under.
