10 days difference - about ready to start hauling

These two groups of pictures are ten says apart - March 3rd and March 13th. Nothing was added between pictures. The third picture combines both views of 3/3 due to attachment limitations

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Very nice. Can't wait to see some total numbers for what you pull out of there. (weight wise).

That's my lot. Stockpiled from last fall. A lot of the automotive scrap is from a body shop I pick up. The rotors are mostly from another shop I pick up, too. Then, there's a lot of misc stuff. And that's just part of the stuff. There's another small building of aluminum and copper in the garage.

I paid .25 ea for most of the rotors. Everything else was free based on me providing a service - keeping the area "uncluttered". I have a couple of guys who bring stuff to trade for other things they find useful. The refrigerators in the background were from several residential cleanouts for the State I subcontract for, but still free. It holds down the weight the contractor has to pay in dumpster fees.

We hit 80 degrees today in North Georgia Mick. Glad to see things are beginning to thaw your way.

So this is you stockpile since fall. Does that make you a speculator?

All you need is a weigh bridge and your a full fledged yard.

I'm assuming you mean in the bottom right of the last picture. Those are brake rotors. All cars with disc brakes have those. The brake pads clamp down on that and that is what slows the car. Over time, they get too thin to be machined and have to be replaced.

I imagine that snow looks pretty good to the folks down south that are roasting their buns off.

I was actually quite surprised to see that picture. It's been in the 100+ range here with the heat index and to see snow in another part of the country is kind of odd. I've never lived up north so I didn't really think about it I guess!

This is a thread I started last March. We typically have snow into April; sometimes May.
