Scrapping last week and found a steel thing that looked like a tripod and had a level like what would used in construction. Didn't know what it was so did research and found out it was a rifle tripod. It was in great shape so put it on craigslist. Guy called wanting to buy it then warned me he was a city police officer from here and wanted me to know it would be a safe and easy transaction and mentioned alot of craigslist robberies have been happening here lately. Next day I text him to set up a time and place to meet and he tells me meet him at a local tire shop parking lot. I tell him what kind of vehicle I'll be in and he says "ok, I'll be in my squad car" lol. Long story short I sold the rifle tripod to him WHILE he was on duty lol. Sure people would love knowing some police are shopping on craigslist from their patrol cars! I was just happy to get alot more than scrap value for it. I got some crazy looks from people while I was in the parking lot handing it to him though lol. I just thought it was a story worth sharing though. Have a good weekend everybody, cheers!
