Jump start on 2015!

I had two storage units as of yesterday that were 5x10. This morning at 4am, I started to move into my new place that is 10x25. I had to make the jump because of space and get out of the cold. I recently picked up a new client who owns a non-profit company that donates clothes to the needy. They also tend to get a gaylord or two of electronics a mont that are dumped into their bins. The company said that sometimes they get old TV's that are over 40" and with wood paneling. I told him I charge for the large TV's and he said we would have to work that out when he comes across these TV's. Not sure what to do with that.

I don't see why taking the TVs would be a problem. You could always "re-gift" them to Goodwill..... Just a thought

They yeild a lot of trash and they have like 1/2 inch glass that weighs a ton. Goodwill doesn't accept tube tvs anymore and nobody wants them.

They have to be recycled properly, re-gifting a box of lead and cancer is like doing something bad to your parents. (not aimed at you Phantoms)It's funny how everyone yells that they want to help the environment but won't pay to have CRTs recycled properly.

The hard part is going to get this donation company to pay for the TV recycling. I anticipate that they will assume that everything else they give me will pay for the TV's and still provide me a profit. Still not sure on what to do. I will do the right thing when it comes to recycling the TV's, no matter what! It's what I believe in and why I love this website so much.

In reality nobody wants to pay for tv recycling. I will never pay someone $5 to get rid of something I get under $3 out of. I havent even heard of a place around me that takes them for "recycling". just a dump.

Without soundling like a company man preaching, NY crashed hard on its residents over recycling electronics(especially CRTs) and by the sounds of it, other states are starting to follow.

There is a place near me that takes TV's that are over 40" for a dollar an inch. Otherwise it's off to Best Buy. Goodwill won't take anymore and same with Staples. Ohio Thrift will take it, but I heard they throw them out after stripping. I am trying to plan ahead of a potential problem.
