So what did you get this stash from? (washers, small elec. motors, etc.) How long to accumulate?
I get a lot of those at the top left corner from dishwashers. I have about 50 right now that I am waiting to take the wire off of their plastic spools.
I work at a TV repair shop and we also do washer, dryers and refrigerators took about 2 weeks got all the big stuff stashed at work
looks like a saws-all would make short work of that project. nice stash!
I use a pair of loppers to cut right thru the water pump coils in the top pic.
The small motor coils with the yellow tape. I cut the end loop off with a anglegrinder, then the rest of the coils arem pulled out. The yellow tape is hard to get off. I have no quick answer for that.
Im thinking of just putting the Copper, with all the yellow tape, string, and varnish, into the 'Domestic Copper pile since the price difference is not a lot.
The larger motors, we have a similar motor in our F&P washing machines. I unwind them, takes 20 minutes to do one. 3 strands at the same time, for 1kg of Copper.
I can do two at a time, 6 strands of Copper wire at a time, in 30 minutes. If it goes well. It pays to make sure the white plastic thats molded around the Iron does not get chipped on the end, as when I am unwinding the Copper wire it can get snagged on the broken plastic.
