    Co-worker gave me some e-waste today

    I asked a co-worker if he had any old computer stuff he didn't want and he brought me these,

    Can I take the heatsink and chip off this?




    Can I remove the heatsink and copper under this and chip/s?

    Leave the chips, and remove the heatsinks/copper.

    I wouldn't just send 2 in, I would get a nice load or it may not be worth shipping, checkout shipping and logistics section.

    Ewasted says you only have to remove "oversized heatsinks" so I personally would send in the red one as is. But again, if you're sending them to him just shoot an email and ask how he wants them prepared. That way you are assured maximum profit instead of just a lot of opinions...

    In our shop this heat sink is oversized and would need to come off. Certainly can't speak for another buyer though.
