    Big Load

Ok so I thought I'd share my load with everyone. My grandpa was a great carpenter and died about 4 months ago, he left behind a basement full of stuff my grandma now needs gone since shes moving. She wants it all to go to family and not sold. I have got this load so far, and heres some pics of the wire I sorted out of it and sorted between strip and don't. We still have a couple weeks of cleaning left, and have pulled a lot of stuff out so far around 5 truck loads as a family. Heres some pics, also I used some of this in my brass breakdown contest entry so check that out link will be under here, also my a/c breakdown is in the breakdown section aswell.

    http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/scrap...tml#post231002

The larger tools I got so far is a porter cable gas canister powered nail gun. No air compressor needed.

I also got a nice makita biscuit cutter

Tons of small tools also, too many to name. And around 150 handyman project books, my grandpa was a member and bought every book they sent him.

I'm hoping to get some of the equiptment also, maybe a band saw for motor breakdowns and such, Ill keep everyone updated. Dont mind the big smf sign, I was using it to tag my breakdowns.

    Can't complain!

After looking at how you have your buckets hanging on the walls, I think I know my next shop project!

Thanks, I'll fix it and hang it up probably needs new batteries. Also I'm in Omaha. Warning when doing the bucket shelves I would use 2x4s and either bolt into studs or put some supports between so they don't sag, screws on 2 sides aren't enough to hold the weight without sagging.

Sorry about your Grandpa but glad he is still sharing with you. Mine planted a carpenter seed in me early in life and I know he looked down on me as the projects got bigger and bigger.

I thought the same thing except I'm thinking mine will be free standing with another 2x4 in back in place of a wall. This way if I need to move it, I can.

Yea one on casters would do the job. I may do that with my next shelf, I am trying to come up with some new configurations for my tool bench and cabinets, I am running out of tool storage space. I may build an all in 1 thing.

I'm starting to have the same problem and am very seriously considering one of those magnet boards I keep reading about on here. That would help immensely not to mention the space it would save me!

Heres my current storage, its way more packed than in the picture but I try to keep it as sorted as possible, of course this doesn't include my larger tools like table saw miter saw air compressors and so on.
The mason jars are all nails I've aqquired scrapping, I keep a jar full and scrap the rest. Ill post some pics of the items, I'm working on breaking them all down right now
