January seems like hot water tank month at work lol

What with the weather slowing things down, it seems the mostest item being scrapped is the hot water tank. lol, is there a sale on them this month or are everyones just going kapooey this month?

Walking into the building there is a truck waiting for us to open - hot water tank in the back.

here comes a van. ''what do you have sir?'' You guessed it, hot water tank.

Oh lookie at that big van carrying a hot water tank on the scooter holder off the back end, thats a big one!

Here comes the plumbers truck with another one.



Okey dokey then, maybe no need to weigh folks, I can guess the weight to a tee if they aren't emptied of water lol. Might as well just make up some tickets ahead of time.

Man comes pulling up, offloads a hot water tank and says ''I don't want anything for it I just want to scrap it.''

Well here comes ''Smiley'' and she's got two in her minivan today and the brass that came off them.

I look towards the pile and it looks like a bunch of hot water tank domino's all over the place lol.

Weighing someone up on the inside scale and here comes two guys with another one. Sheesh, can you at least help me get it into the hopper over there after we weigh it? no problem they say!

Was a hot water tank kinda day! Weird. Big ones, small ones, white ones and a couple blue ones. Bluish grey, something like that.

Get as much water out as possible and then remove all the fittings!

Seems it's water heaters or folks leaving NY. Now that we're on the topic, if I come across any, is there anything specific I need to do to em before taking em to the yard? I haven't come across any yet though.
