The Patriots and their "BALLS".



This last Sunday there was two football games in which the "Winners" of each game goes onto the "Superbowl". Number forty nine, to be exact. We all know that a fifty year event of accomplishment is a "big event". A fifty year marriage is certainly worth celebrating, birthdays, the rare fifty years of employment as well. Some just happy to make the milestone, of fifty years on this earth! To get to fifty, you need to do forty nine and it's worth celebrating too!

So we are coming up on another Superbowl, perhaps the biggest sporting event on the planet. At least in our country, as football is a American invention. As American as apple pie, invented for a lot of reasons, all good by me. One simple reason, as Americans we like competition. Why? It's good for us, it brings out the best in us. Unfortunately at times competition can also cause some to seek a unfair advantage. This happens all the time in sporting events, in business and just about every aspect of our lives.

There was two games this last Sunday. One was between Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks. This was a game, that in the first half, was all Green Bay, they simply out played Seattle in that first half. The second half of that game was another story and ended tied, with one of the best come from behind, overtime, and never "GIVE UP" games I have seen. Seattle won and Green bay lost, both teams deserve to be recognize. Mostly because they played the game as it was supposed to be played.

The other game, was between The Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots. This game was dominated it seemed from start to finish by the Patriots. They outplayed the Colts in both defense and offense, outperformed in almost every statistic. As a TV spectator, this game "SUCKED". The Colts had a good season, they deserved to be in this game, as they earned it. The Patriots earned the right to play the game as well, defiantly one of the NFL's best teams.

Now we are learning the Patriots "played with their BALLS". Getting caught playing with the "other" type of balls, is embarrassing, but it happens. Getting caught playing with eleven out of twelve footballs in a game is "CHEATING".

It doesn't matter if the balls where low or not.They still would have mauled the colts like they did.
I think the low balls hurt them did u see all the passes that brady under threw.
Now just imagine that he would have had the ball right they would maybe have won by even more points.

I have been a Patriots fan for over 30 years probably. Honestly, I am getting a little tired of their "antics". I am not sure which way I am leaning on this new issue, maybe time will tell, but it certainly has taken some of the excitement out of the Super Bowl for me. I may be ready for the Red Sox season now!!

And that's how the bowl is won.. I may root for Green Bay, but to me NE winning is just as good.

That was a stupid play!
