Foaming at the mouth and it isn't cos I have rabies Nice haul!
Nice! Storage units are the best things to jump on. I talked to a guy at the scrapyard who does storage auctions and gave him my card, apparently he doesn't have the time to take in metal so he said he'd call me when I got my truck. It's always good to get in with people like that, make sure u treat him good!
that's hot
I always do. I like new customers but I love repeats! When they call I am usually there or if not me an employee is there same day. I never make repeats wait and I keep a database of all customer info like wife name kids names etc and look over it on my way to meet them. This way i can talk to them like Im just another good friend. Doing this really seperated me from competition and honestly a huge chunck ( not going into specific numbers ) is repeat or referal so I keep that database up to date and revise info after each meet. Easy money maker!
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.” John Wayne-- The Shootist

So are those big chips highly prized because they bring good coin because of the gold content in them or are people actually re-installing them into rebuilt systems? Or both??
Thanks for the hint B.C.! I'll look it up later today after I skin out 5 coons, move a good amount of snow from my triple driveway, and list 15+ ebay auctions (found some cool older Tamiya German 1/35th armor models at Goodwill that have never been put together--should double my money easy). I don't have any old computers laying around just now so nothing pressing.
Same customer called again and i picked up load today. No pics till tomorrow but it filled the 18' trailer full. He also gave me a lead for Monday. Customer service, professional uniform, and being on time has yielded more profit for me than any advertising.
Its sad that our industry has a perceived negative conotation by the general public. However, the silver lining is that when you exceed the low expectation, your customers not only call back, but give you word of mouth reference ( my opinion the best advertising there is)
I am still new only been at it for about 3 yrs now, but I have learned the most important things are to do what you say, be on time, and look good while you do it. ( All lessons from the Airborne Infantry ).
I realize I am rambling on but I want to thank the forum. Where I am today versus 3 yrs ago is all because of you guys.
I have not been part of this forum that long, but my biggest profits started when I began educating myself here.
Ok sappy crap over time to unload and get my guys to work.
Thank you to everyone!
