    My superbowl party

I could of been at one but I need to make money and thats all there is to it
So today was surprise day . Had a nice day selling to yard even with low prices
(just have to get used to selling more for less) any way on way home I stop at a dumpster
not much .Then a GC type man walks over to me and says we saved some lamps for you behind the building
it's 80 walking strides up hill in a snow field and as you see this was it . Like holy Crap and 3 hrs later
    items in truck .
Walking and walking Drag lamps in snow . I used a rope & tied 3 together and like a sled pulled to truck
over and over till complete gotta be 1/2 ton the drive home it felt like a 1000 #. Ballast and wire a plenty
    .
The snow ended up to my advantage as I could drag with no damage to land scape

Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. That's what separates those of us that are in this for the long haul from the fly by knights. Good haul!

    Nice haul, CH!!

Are any of them nice enough to try to sell as lights? They look pretty decent.

Way to keep getting it done!! Was it because of all the snow you couldn't drive up there or there just wasn't any roads near that side of the building?? (I've dragged out many a deer or antelope on plastic kiddie sleds!)

And pardon my probable lack of knowledge, what is a "GC type man"???

    Thanks .
No road to back of building . I could of 4X up but felt it would of been to disrespectful to drive on grounds
and can still get stuck . Decided on safer way , less intrusive.
So today I took off lamps from truck and went to work
all ballast in a bucket and all the wire in a 25 gallon pail the wire felt to be 50# didn't weigh it yet but was no casual 20 or 30 pounds
the ballast are newer type so not to much weight
& all Stripped lamps are back on truck .
It's wild what really is involved to pull the full value .
3 hr to load truck (first time)
3 hr to gut and reload to truck
copper wire to #2 still to-do
    Drive time . fuel cost
    I figure $150 - $165
Lets face it labor of love
