    Now 5 and 3\4 cents with another drop coming in a few days I was told.

    In NC at my yard, steels 5.50, coppers 1.75, and aluminum and brass are holding strong!

    Ours dropped to $90. a net ton or .045 a lb.

    I think the best price I can get down here is $130/140 a ton. South of Indianapolis. Compared to some of the prices I have seen, thats not bad.

    My last sale was .05
    For the future cars are going to be the way , yanking out 1000 pounds of steel from free find dumpster diving literately wont pay
    if it goes lower then .5 , driving time to find - time to load & unload - coupled to finding steel with luck as the foundation . The profit is gone .
    If one has the room finding and storing away might be like money in the bank.

    i went to the yard today and prices are DOWN again


    steel R2.40 per kg
    subgrade/shred R1.80 per kg

    dont know about prices of other metal cos i was bust & never think to ask
