Awesome morning!

I saw a couple Christmss decorations on top of a garbage bin so decided to check it out. Found 35#'s of Christmas lights, 4 steel framed decorations with lights, 4 surge protectors, a canon camera, steel shelf, 2 fishing poles, some copper pipe, steel shelf, 3 extension cords and a bunch of alum. from screen windows! All at one house lol. Best score of the year for me so far. Pretty excited. I was at that house for 45 minutes loading it all. Might go back for the marble tiles they had in there too, bet craft people would buy those quick

Lol, some days I wanna bury him in one lol. He's my assistant, he does the "sniff test" on it all lol

Now the debate over scrapping wires as they are or taking bulbs off and stripping any of it begins. Never had this much Christmas light wire to deal with at once before

As is is what I'd do, replacement bulbs is an option to sell but they aren't usually bought after Christmas. Nice scorr

Thanks. Posting pics of more of it soon. Yea, that's kinda what I figured too. Take til next year to strip it all lol

Probably a stupid question but do yards pay for Christmas lights at reg. ins. wire price if connectors are cut off?

Some yards have a category just for Christmas lights. Depends on your yard...

As is was $.15 as #2 insulated with bulbs and ends cut off was $1.00 but now with the price drop who knows... may do better selling as is...

I snip the bulbs off and mix it with m #2 insulated. Longs as I don't over kill they don't complain.

Out here you can sell the clipped bulbs as copper content $.10 a pound. I am sure it is less now with the price drop

I stripped some a little while back. The recovery rate on just the wire was a tad under 40%. If it's all much the same, there shouldn't be a problem with it going as #2 insulated.

With bulbs is 0.25/# right now at my yard

I love when that happens! I have had some huge scores myself. And often it is the last street I go down on garbage day!

Of coarse it's the last street you go down. When you find the score you stop looking!

I will keep going until I have finished my route. Regardless of how soon I find a good cache. I pull a 6 by 12 trailer with a pick up truck. I was just noting how I have noticed on a slow day, I have often found a good score on the last street of my route.
