Day late and a Dollar short

Of course right when the prices drop off I come up with a big contact. I have gained a national HVAC company franchisee in my area to give me all their AC's, furnaces and other scrap metals. I haven't been doing alot of scrap lately and when i have decided to pick it up again I wont be making what i am used to anymore. Oh well the volume I will be getting should keep me up for a while.

Umm.. yeah have the same thing right now... great lead, awesome contact.. free reign on multiple tons of steel.. and then the bottom falls out!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

The probable reason that these leads are happening right now is because of the low price for steel. My advice would be take the offer. When the price goes back up you will be on top.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

Bingo- I bet the last person quit. Take it now, and when the price rebounds eventually, you'll have a good incoming stream.

Dont look a gift horse in the mouth!!! Not only are you getting steel but also cu, al and all the wire. Not to mention motors, switches and possibly breakers. And if they arent doing it get a contact in the ac business, and have them recover the freon and sell it to them for 50%. Look at these tough times as opportunities !!!

I only do this part time but I've brought home more PC's, servers and telephone systems this week than I have in the last 3 months and I'll be bringing home another big load tomorrow. I'm going to continue to sell the shred and sit on the copper and circuit boards. I'm a patient man.

Totally agree on that, now is the time to cultivate your contacts and intake streams so you can really make out later down the road. If you have to store what you think you can make more on later, do it.

Good deal and I agree with all that's been said. This is an opportunity. Maybe time to hit the bricks and increase our client base.

Brass said it best look at this price drop as an opportunity.
