Definitely. This man wouldn't stop, and his dogs were running after us on our own property (Dobermans). Legally, in our state, we could shoot them. We could hit them with a car/truck/tractor, or set traps. This would cause a feud. Or, we can call the sheriff, who can tell him about these laws, and put an end to it.

We stay on our sides of the fence, and I'm fine with that. It's a lot better than a decade-long feud.

    -------------

Same thing here. Sometimes, a badge can scare a person enough to behave. That's what I'd do. Because, he'll know that if he ever does anything to you, he'll be reported. That may be enough.

Plus, I knew the sheriff at the time. That helps!

    Craigslist people AGAIN

I never planned on confronting him with a gun or at all. I told the stereo equipment guy he was too far away just in case it was him. I'm not worried about the threats, people are stupid. I said some things I probably shouldn't of after he got smart with me so showing emails to police or craigslist probably wouldn't help lol.
I debated on just taking my ad down but haven't. Last email from him was over 12 hours ago so hoping he found something better to do. It's officially my birthday now so it'd be nice to not have to deal with him anymore lol

Since open carry is legal in Colorado and I dont go to a CL ad without mine. There are way to many crazy people out there. This case in point proves it. Just remember the cops are not there to protect you from crime they are there to charge people with a crime after it happens and let the courts figure out if your guilty or not. The only person that can protect you is YOU!!!!!!

The scrap business is deep with these guys, threatening others online, they need to be investigated. Everyone has the right to safely post ads on CL.

This ain't about the right to self defense, or to carry, or whatever. I own a nice supply of guns tyvm. so lets not turn it into that.

My point is...we're grown adults. Let's act like it. No need to antagonize a situation that can be avoided by you know...Showing up an pointing your 45 at someone.

Whole situation could have been avoided by the OP ignoring the idiot. OP admits he didn't do that, I ain't going to bash him for that, hopefully he learned in the future to just ignore morons.

It's whatever. Ain't my freedom, or life. Folks can do as they please.

Reason I don't carry a gun is because I am just crazy enough to use it..............I do agree CL sux sometimes but what other FREE options do we have to get that kind of exposure

    Craigslist people AGAIN

Luckily it's been quiet since sunday, haven't heard back from the crazy guy since then.
Fun now has been the amount of people replying to my ad wanting to charge crazy amounts for nonworking electronics. In the last 24 hours I've been offered a xbox360 with a broken cd tray and no power for $65, a gateway all in one computer that doesn't turn on for $60, nonworking speakers for $20 and a few nonworking stereo receivers for $150 lol

If I shopped around, I bet I could buy working things for all of those items for less than what they're asking!

When broken PC speakers are worth $20, please let me know! I'll buy the $10 new working ones, and break them!

Lol, I thought the same thing. The speakers were 12" stereo speakers but even $20 for those nonworking is pretty steep. It's funny that they get ahold of you acting like they're trying to help ya then give you b.s. prices on it all

Were they broken PC speakers? Didn't see that part if so. An if you can work on electronics, depending on the damage those recievers can bring decent money. I don't think so at 150 for broken. LOL. There's a guy near my sandbar who drives down an buys a bunch from a tv hookup I have. He pays anywhere from 20 to 50 bucks for each one depending on damage. Fixes an resells them.

If those we're car speakers an weren't blown or anything one could make a good resale on them. 20 ain't crap for decent speakers. Some people just don't know what they have. I sell used speakers all the time. PC ones to..the seem to be great for surround sound systems for some reason. They sell real good for me locally.

Despite all the above yes, it's amusing what people think their broken electronics are worth. I love getting calls from people who think a broken 15 year old computer is worth 150.00. Makes me laugh..while I'm on the phone. Or other high priced goods. Some dude wanted 20 for a broken tube tv. I had a good laugh. I don't expect much business from him, as he got upset when I laughed, so I told him he was an idiot. Dude..it's a broken tube! What do you think, I'ma refix a 32 inch tube tv an sell it for 150 bucks? I wish.

Good luck dealing with all the BS. Just remember to have a good laugh now an then at it all or you'll become one of them.

I have a box of computer speakers(working) that I haven't been able to part with because they still had some value as far a Ebay was concerned...I should probably get them on there before that is no longer is true.

make another craigslist account and make an ad on that craigslist account saying you buy can tabs for 3 dollars a pound for a charity and put his phone number on that add. Guarantee he will have to buy a new phone with a new number and you dont have to go all walter white on him and put a 45 in his face over some craigslist competition.

The speakers were from a home stereo system and the cone on one was tore, said he doesn't know if the second one works. 2 of the receivers burnt up from overheating, other one doesn't turn on. Might've been able to get that one going but by the sound of it the other 2 are toast so figure $150 for the chance to get one of them to work is pointless.

I've had alot of luck reselling car speakers here, was hoping that's what his would've been.

Guess the people that think their junk is worth gold are everywhere. $20 for a broken tv seems worse than the guy I'm dealing with lol. I would've laughed at him too.

Thanks, I'm the same way. If it wasn't for me trying to find humor in everything I would've went crazy a long time ago lol

Lol exactly! I've seen people asking for more than that for ones with broken screens here. I don't even spend that much when I buy a new phone lol. I'm fine with paying a little amount for some items but things like that or this guy wanting almost $100 for a computer that's old enough it has windows 98 on it and won't turn on at all is CRAZY. I try to stay nice but I really just wanna tell them good luck with that

But think of all the gold in that computer, if it's that old it probably has 2 Trojan Ounces in it! LOL

I've been getting more of the "why don't you just curbshop" and "stop posting so much or we'll all get banned" BS lately.

Also, a little off topic, some A-hole took a dishwasher I left in front of my garage yesterday. It was garbage night so I hope they just thought it was going to the curb, but I'm glad it was just a DW, cause now I know better and will put a little more effort into stashing and hiding stuff. In Spring/Summer, I would have piles of crap at the side and in front of the garage. People are getting desperate with low prices and crappy weather.

    Craigslist people AGAIN

I posted a new ad and said depending on what people have to get rid of I would pay a few bucks for it, woke up today to a email from a guy with the original playstation asking if I'd be interested. Seemed alright until he said he wants $125 for it lol. He even says he has a guy in Ohio that offered him $250 for it but wants to stay local. Wanted to ask if he meant to say stay loco lol
