Getting off 100% dependence on diesel fuel (or gas) has long been a goal of mine. So when I had a meltdown rant about fuel prices a few days ago, you can probably now see where I'm coming from. Using waste oil seems to be such a no brainer, I get frustrated that I can't put my attention to it for the near future (other priority things in the way.)

I'm not a wild-eyed whacky tabaccy hippie type wanting to get offa the world and down to zero dependence on oil, but even if I could bring it down by 50% or 75% I would have a fair bit of cash freed up to do other things with...

I have a 6.9 IDI (Basically the same as the 7.3 but smaller stroke) and one of the reason I got it was due to the lack of electronics. Basic, no frills diesel that supposedly will run on a variety of fuel blends and with two tanks, one can be diesel and the other a blend. I haven't tried any blends yet but someday.
