A truck and errands to go by - A scrapper creed

All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by
    A John Masefield's poem

    For me and others
Like yesterday my daughter asks Can you take me to my friends house ?
She asks sheepishly , I am eager to say yes , first some time to talk with daughter
and the opportunity to find some scrap
Well talk time and 40 pounds of AL gutters some mix

Took wife to work after that
4 vacuums 2 with power cords ,One in particular is an old Royal (good AL )
    also 5 pounds AL .

Who needs a lift some place ? I'm ready

Lol, looks like it worked out well for you! Put a sign out front - ''need a ride?''

Scrapper, Scrap Yard Worker, Horse farm worker, Cooler Puller and just plain ''tired''

Another errand & hit a dumpster from a CVS there was a scrapper already there
So I asked can I have an item or two - nice to allow first dibs if that scrapper is inclined that way - & some are
He said to me theres a Xerox printer there if you want it He helped me load - must of weighed 250 minimum
after that he told me he wants to resell the metal tables and any working appliances . So we came to a fast balance
I took pure scrap crap and any item that he could resell he took . Really why scrap a copper bearing item for .50 when another guy is going to try to get $5
I had 5 TV.s in truck already & he inquired of that concept. Yup us scrappers are an interesting lot.
