For a year i've been collecting the trash . The job is simple enough pickup truck with box , that gets packed full and unloaded into a trash compactor truck
my rout is 4 days a week & two truck fill ups per day . I drive 150 to 200 miles per day
Today I drove my truck to dump directly for a unload (first time for a full unload ) I got the weight ticket and it shocked me,
the load was 2300 pounds & I do it twice a day
I had not realize I was packing and unpacking 2 tons a day give or take .
Ok some fun facts
At the dump they have workers that there job is to find scrap . I saw wire - vacs - metal . So yes it's clear that dumpster divers
diminish a high percentage of there scrap .
A ton of trash cost $86 bucks to dump .
They pay .01 to .02 # for recyclables Paper Glass Cans and naturally if you had scrap they will take it and pay ,
they only buy recyclables from licensed trash companies
Any way I have a new slogan another day another two tons .
