Do women get better prices at the yard?

My wife has taken my last two loads to the yard for me. She mention that those guys there are really helpful, almost to helpful, lol. So I did a test, I placed some #1 in my #2 bucket just a small amount. Then I had her say I hope that the copper is separated right. Sure enough they started going thru it for her and placing the number #1 back into the #1 copper tub. Also the ticket said I had 49lbs of cans, man I really doudt I had that much.

So i just wonder, since the yards workers are mostly men, if a women gets the benifit of the doudt, and they help her out a little. What's everybody elses thoughts on this?



I have never had them go thru my bucket for me, unless they seen some #2 in with the #1.

Well at my yard it is a female that pays out so i cant test that theory. BUt it doesn't suprise me.

I'm almost tempted to let my wife try it, but she will wreck my rig, and that would just suck lol.

I have tested the helfulness at my yard... If you ASK they will take a look and tell me whats what... They will not correct anything unless you ask... I dont think its a Woman thing its more common courtesy.. perhaps you wife asks the right questions...
I would be appreciative that they are polite and helpful to your wife instead of treating her like a dumb broad....
