I know the feeling hobo finds; once the scrapping bug hits you, it's hard to walk away.
It's like being used to picking up quarters and then only finding dimes!
This business is as cyclical as they come and I've seen it change alot over the 40 or so years I've messed with it and I'll still pick up the dimes waiting for the quarters!

As the old saying goes....."This too shall pass"

I hit the jackpot on my way home from school yesterday literally right down the street from me at the local pool:

All of those white loungers are aluminum.

Yep hobo, I tried to step back for a minute on the bulky shred. But a friend of mine, who hates his day job and REALLY wants to get into scrapping, went out and bought a big ole hauling trailer. Now I produce the shred, he hauls it and we split the "fortune." <-- LOL!
He gets totally scrap addicted at $60 a ton and I'm still spoiled rotten for the $180 I started out in. But seeing it through his fresh newbie eyes has made it like a treasure hunt again. It's fun watching him have fun. Gotta stay in the game for that!

Today 4 patio table umbrellas, 2 steel 2 alum and steel (just going to take them as dirty Alum) fake Christmas tree, pool pump electric motor and hopefully my neighbor gets home soon, as there is a big AC unit in the alley behind a house a few streets down from mine! Will need his help loading as this thing is big!

It's getting nicer outside, time to clean up the mess and make a trip to the yard to get rid of these computer carcasses

Kalvlin, When you were tossing them in the trailer did you keep an eye out for the occasional alum. carcass??

If it feels light then check it with a magnet. I've had a few over the time.

And jogging season. I was never a runner, and they're probably all too young for me, but I can appreciate the benefits of exercise.

So far I've sold 1 of them for $10, kept two, and I've cut up 250 Lbs of clean extrusion out of them. I still have about 50 lbs left to cut up. Nice little present IMO.

I saw some competition. Where a truck turned I passed and did the next street. I got one TV and he got the heavier TV loaded with fiberboard.
