there are some vids available here on the forum, we are not, for the most part you tube fans, as many you tubbers are more into themselves and their ego then correct information, safety, or education. This is a dangerous profession not to be taken lightly. mcw

I have a youtube account but I don't post scrapping videos, I don't know enough

Thanks OldDUDE but i've worked with Metal since I was 10 years old my daddy held the title in western NC as top welder and i've help pull a many a peace of metal off trucks I also lifted double looper 454 motors when I worked at Outboard Motor Company as both a cast cleaner and a welder so I can't see where anything I encounter to LIFT will be a problem or dangerous as u put it. I also have a crew of 7 helping so anything I can't do i'm sure the men of the bunch can get it done for me. As far as dangerous chemicals also handled those when daddy worked at feldspar sulfuric acid is what I've always cleaned rust stains with in bathtubs and such so i've got nes equipment on board already. I was just asking for youtuber's links as I enjoy watching there video's of a night once i'm finished working to see what they have got in and what there latest scrap project is in case i've missed something on my own.

I think youtube is a great source if you're looking for "basic" information but you have to be able to ignore the BS. Scrapping4adart has a lot of good videos and no silliness. Mike the scrapper has a lot of good videos and a little silliness. He talks about identifying different types of metals, grading ewaste, where to find scrap and safety. Youtube is where I looked for scrapping info when I first started and I learned a lot. Scrapping4adart is how I found the SMF. I watched videos there and started reading here. I believe it kept me from asking a lot of 'basic" questions. At some point if you are serious about scrapping you need to say bye to youtube come on over to the scrap metal forum and get a real education.

I just wanted to add that my post above was not directed toward the OP (Connie). I'm just trying to say to everyone that youtube is a good tool to get started but the SMF is a better one.
