4500VA Power converter = Heavy! = $

I was lucky enough to get about 500lbs of UPS and voltage converters from work today. Only cost me 1 hernia.. lol I couldn't understand why this unit weighed so much; I couldn't see any batteries. Then I popped the cover off. I checked ebay before dismantling. A few on there from 50-150 but only one had shown as sold. By the time I scrap it out and sell the 15A circuit breakers I will probably come in at around 50 without the wait or hassle. Unit weighed around 80lbs + Lots of goodies to scrap, sell and add to my bin of useful but unused parts.

Funny thing is I just got a bunch of these in as scrap this morning too. After taking them all apart I am left scratching my head wondering how I can get the copper separated out, while staying environmentally safe. Usually I would just throw the transformer with my others and sell as is but there is way too many for me to want to do that now.
If you decide to separate out the copper, please share..how lol

I need to make my own Jaws of life to crack these into pieces... lol Not sure I will bother, but i'm always tempted to take these apart. If I do I will put weights and math on here to give an idea if its worth the bother. Usually I have found its only marginally more money and a big waste of time.
