    Legal warning

    Just to let everyone know-in most places in the world you can face criminal charges for showing people pictures of your junk!

    Just sayin'

    Oh, wait, you didn't mean that kind of junk?

    How about this:

    Which one? The Ford isn't mine. I have an F150 from the era, though- it's all show and no go.

    The Chevrolet didn't look like that originally. This is what it looked like when I got it running (Top right of the photo) :

    I wished I had a better photo of it. It was half-bondo.

    I repainted it with a brush- I used Oliver green (I used actual farm tractor paint) and cream-colored Rustoleum for the roof. It's a 5-foot paint job. There are runs in it, and I could have done better. But, compared to the grey duckling above, it's a definite improvement. For less than $100, I won't complain. It does turn heads, though.

    For your viewing enjoyment:

    That Chevrolet was the truck that I was brought home from the hospital in when I was born. My father parked it for some reason (It ran and drove at the time), and I fixed it up. That truck will be with me for life- there is no way that I'm ever selling it.

    It's good for showing off my junk, though!

    Us rednecks don't need to pay nobody for our pickemup trucks!

    If you're at least 5 feet away, it's not bad to look at. Just next to it, the details show themselves.

    The truck makes me happy. That's good enough for me!

    I can remember way back when Maaco and Earl Sheib had 99.95 paintjob specials. Course if you wanted it taped off then you did it yourself or paid extra.
    Or get it painted then use a razor blade to clean the windows.

    In the 1950s, Earl Scheib expanded his company with locations across the nation and started a national ad campaign. Earl wrote the commercials and became the company spokesman. He became famous for his slogan, "I'm Earl Scheib, and I'll paint any car, any color for $19.95. No ups, no extras." This campaign and slogan was maintained until Earl died. However, the price was slowly increased over the years. By 1970 it was $99.95, still a very low price for 1 day service.
    Thank you Wiki;
