Every other time I bring stuff to the yard I bring a soda or 2 with me for the yard guys.
It's good will towards them and some times they will overlook some of the stuff I bring in.

My yard knows me well enough that they allow me to unload propane/freon tanks that are empty without cutting them in half. I'm there 1-2 times a week.
Agreed. I bring in a bag of jerky for my buddy that works at the flat iron area.
My buddy, whos a complete d-bag to some folks, brought in a bunch of electric motors. They go for 18c a pound here. He got told they wont take them because they're too "irony". I brought some in the next day, exact same condition, got full price.
Basically, dont **** where ya eat.
The guy I deal with is a good guy. He comes out and acts like he is checking over the load and wants to know if I have items for inside. When I say yes, he is like "Got a smoke". I'll give him a few and when I am inside, the lower rate items i get a few extra pounds on them. Not much, but he goes the extra step to help me make a bit more when he gets something to.
The guys at my yard all know us. Our "policy" is every load over $250, we go get a couple pizzas for all the guys. If i'm hanging around working on something, Ill help unload vehicles, operate the scale, whatever. They always bump me up a cent a pound on steel, and bump copper up a grade, etc. They also let me prepare on the yard if needed.
Sounds like you got a good thing going! I'd go broke if i bought them pizzas like that though, LOL... we haul in 1-3 cars a day. We are on "Tier 2 pricing" which is $10 more a ton than walk-in pricing. Don't think for a minute that we wouldn't like to throw em a party once in a while though Hmmmm...... might hafta get em pizza sometime...
