Huge Electric Motors

I have ten 30hp electric motors and fifteen more of assorted sizes (nothing below 5hp). I am having trouble finding a buyer for them, obviously they aren't going to be scrapped. So if anyone is in New Jersey and has a connect there is a finders fee. Message me please. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I'm on a deadline and need exposure

Why obviously not going to be scrapped. I hope you find a buyer, but I've scrapped many many working motors in those sizes and more up to 100 horse. The problem with motors is they can be specific to certain applications and even the electric motor shops don't like to buy unless they have a customer lined up for them. I actually scrapped over 50 7.5 HP motors that I had to take out of their boxes new and load into gaylords after checking with several motor shops and other potential customers for months with not one sale. Maybe you'll get lucky, hope you do, but I wouldn't count on over scrap price.

For industrial surplus, the place to go to for potential purchasers is the "surplus record" who is a publisher who is the grandaddy of all buy-n-sell publishers. They have been in the game for nearly 100 years and list people who sell surplus equipment from mostly North America but all over the world. Obviously, these are listings by companies wanting to sell stuff but they possibly are buying, too. Maybe not great pricing but it should be somewhat better than electric motor scrap.

I took a quick look in the listings for AC motors under 50 hp and got 7700 listings. The website will sort by state and here's a few I noted that were not that far from you.

As was said above...and not just everyone needs a 30 horse motor. I've never really had any luck with selling used motors. I keep some around to tinker with and make home creations, but the rest just go to the scrap pile

30 hp is pretty small really. I think you are just barely getting into the size where they are worth rebuilding or bothering to mess with used.

You might have some luck with the people who like to build there own electric vehicles.
